Double duty today for the Service Above Self Saturday Investment (SASSI)! We are cleaning up, scrubbing, fixing, and pressure washing Project Hope Ocala, which serves the homeless. Our other project for the Rotary Club of Ocala was sanding and repainting the front area of the Discovery Center, a family-friendly science center that promotes interactive learning and encourages individuals to expand their knowledge, on Eighth Street.

Rotarians and guests enjoyed perfect weather, delicious food and drink, and camaraderie at Bank Street Patio Bar.

Our team, Service Above Self Saturday Investment (SASSI), joined the Walk to End Alzheimer's at the World Equestrian Center. It was a pleasure to share this enjoyable event with the Rotary Club of Ocala. We are proud to be part of more than 600 communities nationwide who organize the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the biggest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support, and research worldwide.

Rotary Road Waste Heroes! We will be removing debris from the road between State Road 40, running from SW 60th Ave to SW 80th Ave. The day will begin with breakfast at the Waffle House (22 NW 34th Ave, Ocala, FL 34475) at 8 AM, providing an opportunity for fellowship and camaraderie before we commence our cleanup.

The Rotary Club of Ocala members weeded, mowed, painted, and aided other projects for our continuing support of the Interfaith Emergency Services (IES) on August 12th. Our mission, “Service Above Self,” was to continue the relationship with IES with meaningful jobs, education and child support for their kids, and other essential components.
